Now I know I'm a bit of a Johny come lately to blog about this today, The whole world already heard about it from nearly every media source in the world. I was pretty busy this weekend putting up hay and making some repairs around the farm in Rich Hill.

But I was down in Butler Saturday and it looked like business as usual at Max Motors. Granted, there were plenty of folks checking out the place as usual but most of the media circus seemed to have moved on to other stories.

One of the best comments I saw was from some one...  in of all places Canada, Irene's Odd World questioned:  "What would do they give a customers who purchased a Prius ... a can of mace?"

Well Irene, in Butler, MO and most of Bates County there aren't a lot of Prius's running around. Seems most of the folks 'round these parts prefer something that can travel the rough back roads of the Missouri Prairie. Them silly little electric cars, won't pull a horse trailer or haul a load of seed back to the farm. You can't get your livestock to market in one of those little shoe-boxes! Besides Irene, there ain't any room for my gal to sit in the middle of those little things, down here we like to cruise those old gravel roads with our sweetheart by our side, cozied up!

And yes Irene we do like our guns and our trucks here in God fearin' Middle America! I bought my pretty red Chevy from the boys at Max Motors, and I'll buy my next truck from them too!

I missed out on the sale though, all I got was a truck... But that's OK, I've got plenty of firearms and ammunition already. Seems while we still have that right here in the Good 'Ol USA, I will still be celebrating that freedom. Right along with driving my Truck to church on Sunday with the rest of the good folks of Bates County, MO.

I'm holding out, I'm hoping he offers a Barrett .50!

Come on Mark, I really want a Barrett .50!

I bought my beautiful red chevy turck from Max Motors in Butler, MO. When I heard that GM was considering shutting down dealerships two of my favorites came to mind. Max Motors in Butler, MO and Roberts Chevrolet in Raytown.

Max Motors gave me the best deal on a new Chevy truck and gave me more for my trade in than any of the Kansas City dealers. I sure hope that Max Motors makes the cut, because when I buy my next Chevy, it will be a Max Motors Chevrolet!

I meant to finish this blog last night, but wound up getting busy with some other stuff, I did get a nice note this morning from the guys at Max Motors.

Roberts Chevrolet in Raytown has been good to me also, they couldn't make the deal that Max Motors did, but they have been great for service and repairs.

So there you go guys, I posted a couple of gratuitous  links, hope it boosts your Google juice!
