This week while talking with some members of The Institute of Equestrian Real Estate Professionals ( IEREP ) a discussion arose about the number of requests we get from people looking to rent a house where they can keep horses.
I've had several requests this year, One fella; Mr. Morgan sent me an email just a week ago. He was looking for a place he could rent somewhere near Harrisonville, MO that he could keep up to 5 horses.
I've worked with rental property on acreage, and the response is tremendous. I get calls and emails like wildfire for the most basic homes on acreage.
If you are in a position where your just not ready to sell you might consider renting the property. Horse friendly rental property is a rare commodity.
I wrote an article some time back about equestrian property management, there is a lot more to it than you might think. There are specific liabilities that you must consider.
Take some time to read that article. http://activerain.com/blogsview/367816/renting-horse-property-and-equestrian-facilities-property-management-of-equestrian-property-
Thanks for stopping by Bates County Real Estate, hope I see you soon!
