Bates County Produce or the Bates County Farmers Market is a great place to stock up on fresh produce, and occaisionally some great merchandise. Often you can find a great weekend auction taking place, there is no telling what you will find there.
Bates County Produce is a great source for natural home grown "organic" products, most of which are the product of the sweat equity of Bates County Old Order Mennonites. Now I am no expert on the Mennonite religion, but I thought these guys were Amish.
Either way, these people produce some of the best "organic" produce in the world, need a rhubarb pie? You can get it there. Need some home-made jam? You can get it there. Need a horse drawn buggy, you guessed it you can get it at Bates CountyProduce.
I purchased one of the best rhubarb pies I have ever eaten there. So plan your trip to Bates County Produce, located about 3 miles out on State Route PP from HWY A in Rich Hill.

Can you please share the dates/times the market is open? I live in NE Kansas and travel often to SE Missouri to visit my grandmother. I've heard of the market and would like to visit some weekend, if they're open. THANKS!
I usually go on Saturdays, they are open everyday except Sunday, all day long.
